I didn’t plan to do this work.
But cancer has a way of changing things.
In 2005, I went through breast cancer treatment.
What I wasn’t prepared for… was how much it would affect everyday life.
Food tasted strange.
Sometimes it tasted like nothing at all.
Eating became hard.
And some side-effects like mouth ulcers made eating extra hard.
And something that used to feel normal… didn’t anymore.

Over time, I realised it wasn’t just me.
So many people were saying the same thing:
“Food just doesn’t taste right anymore.”
And there wasn’t much practical help out there.
So I started figuring it out.
Not in a clinical way.
In a real-life, what-actually-works kind of way.
How to bring flavour back when taste disappears.
How to make food enjoyable again.
How to make things feel just a little more normal.
That’s what led me to create Centre For Cancer Nutrition.
And everything that’s come since.
These days, my work sits across a few different areas.
They might seem separate — but they’re all connected by one thing:
👉 helping people feel like themselves again.
Food & Flavour — Because when food tastes wrong, everything feels harder.
Intimacy & Connection — Because cancer doesn’t just affect the body — it affects relationships too.
Honest Conversations — Because sometimes the most helpful thing is knowing you’re not alone.
Simple Tools & Support — Because when everything feels overwhelming, small things make a big difference.
